Last but Not Least- Inspirational Stories for Christmas
There are four stories in this small anthology. Promises & Prayers in which a mother whose young daughter has been injured in an accident that has killed her husband visits her daughter in the hospital on Christmas Eve. She prays for a miracle. It's a story about having faith even when the worst things you can imagine have happened.
The Window was a favorite of several friends of mine. It's also a story about faith, trusting in God when bad things have happened. A demolition worker arranges for a church window to be salvaged after he has an experience in the burned out structure. Meanwhile, a young mother is in charge of seeing a new battered women's shelter completed. She needs an inspirational window for the common hall. The man who plays her Santa at the shelter takes her to see the salvaged window. She meets the man who set the wheels in motion to save the window and invites him to come see it once it's been installed.
On Christmas Eve in a small town a congregation finds themselves without a church leader. One by one they gravitate toward the church and soon they are conducting a Christmas Eve Mass together, sharing their faith and friendship.
In Bruce, a man orders a fiberglass camel for his church's living nativity- and something unexpected is delivered in its stead.
That's the collection. This is one story that isn't included in any of the seven volumes. Maybe I'll post it here tonight...
